The desk is mahogany with a lift-up ratcheted top above two dovetailed and cockbeaded drawers; it has a platform cut-out stretcher base; leather casters; legs with interior chamfers and lamb's tongue terminals; and original brass pulls; also secondary wood oak.
It lacks several hinge screws; there are scuffs, scratches and normal wear; top has burns; platform stretcher is bowed with some separations; hinge mounts on top are redone with some wounds.
