A huge 18.5" x 8.5" panel of fine Victorian beadwork that would have been made to fit a tea tray, but was never put to that use. A perfect panel for you to make up into one of those opulently down-filled and tassle-fringed accent pillows. The panel has great colors and has been framed all these years so the canvas is in extraordinarily fine condition - supple and perfect for use in your pillowtop. Rich colors, very fine condition with only the very minimal amount of bead loss; in case any are missing, they're easily replaced in only a few minutes with your needle and beads.
Very good condition, it has been thoroughly sanitized and laundered and carries no dusty musty odors or surface dirt. Clean and clear, it's all ready to work with. A superb panel that very likely represents an entire year's work at the hands of some mid-1800s lady.
It was a 19th century women's art, blocked as most were from the art world in general, they played out their creativity in needlework such as this.
