This is a beautiful Theodore Haviland Limoges berry bowl with a pattern that is the Schleiger #844 pattern or a variation. The design on this piece is a floral design with pink roses with a touch of yellow interspersed with green leaves, draping around the rim on vines with a cluster of roses in the center. The outside edge is semi scalloped and on the inside edge there is a raised design. The outside edge and the inside edge have a beautiful double gold gilded design. Under the golden rim the beautiful pattern loops around the rim falling and covering about an inch or inch and a half. Near the center of the bowl there is a round bouquet of pink roses entwined with green leaves. The fabulous gold and the center bouquet really makes the pattern stand out.
This is a stunningly beautiful pattern made from the finest Limoges clay and is an excellent example of the quality work that Haviland is known for. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or flakes and little if any wear to the gold. There may be a factory glaze skip or dot, but nothing that takes away from this item.
