It has scroll handles above four legs with paw feet, above a stretcher base with compressed bun feet; it has bellflowers, anthemion and scroll relief decoration; is made of brass and copper; probably was originally silver plated, possibly Old Sheffield plate. There are minor dents; the lid interior is marked "Warranteed/Best London/Manufactory," 19th century, English.
