This old hand carved wood (walnut?) jardiniere is nice and large, and carved on all sides. It frames a fine old hand painted porcelaine plaque on front panel.

There are many things about this one that say 'France', including the old TAHAN tag which is still attached to the backside interior of the piece. This piece certainly has the quality of a Tahan piece. Tahan is, of course, one of the premier French makers of fine goods in the 18th and 19th century, 'a roi' or makers for the king or emperor.
Very good to excellent condition, with no chips or break to bring down it's value or appeal.
