This antique bowl is entirely hand painted with ripe blackberries and blossoms on a background of yellow, cream, soft green, brown, and lavender foliage. The scalloped and beaded rim is decorated with heavy gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The outside of the bowl is done in a wonderful design of hand painted berries and foliage in a monochrome rose color. The artist's choice of colors on this bowl is wonderful.
The bowl measures 10.5" in diameter and stands 2.5" tall.
It is marked with the A. Lanternier underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1891-1914.
This lovely bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The paint is dark and vibrant, adding to its beauty.
