JZ Rose: Vanity and Bath, Luxury body care, soap and fragrance

French Old Paris Set of Three Covered Jars or Bowls, Circa 1860

item # DARA17JW

The larger jar is 5" high to the top of the finial and 5.75" wide from handle-to-handle. The two smaller jars are about the same size, not exactly, but approximately, and they are 3" high to the top of the finial and 4 5/8" wide from handle-to-handle.
The jars are round, shaped like a bowl, with a round tapered foot. The handles curve up. The finials are round knobs.
The jars are possibly early unmarked Haviland Limoges, because the finials are the same as some of the finials used by Haviland.
There is a band of pink ground at the top of the jars and around the rims of the lids. The decoration is all hand painted.
There is gold trim on the finials, around the rims, on the handles and around the bases. There is a looped gold pattern that borders the pink bands.
There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are some glazing imperfections from the firing process. There is some wear to the gold. There are a few irregularities in the porcelain that were painted or decorated over by the original designer.
