![]() Rare Paul Poiret Lalique or Czech Perfume Bottle, Circa 1911-1924
item # 47049E
Beautiful crystal perfume bottle with 2 dancing nudes and highly detailed floral vine around top rim (front and back...very hard to capture on film). It has a huge flower stopper.
There is a sticker on the bottom that reads "Poiret Extrait Fabrication Francaise Paris France". Sticker on top reads "Pour Blonde". This bottle is in mint condition, however the stopper does have a very small chip on the very tip. There is a polished base, but the stopper is not polished. In 1911 Paul Poiret became the first fashion celebrity to enter the long established French perfume industry followed 10 years later by Chanel. The likes of Rene' Lalique and Julien Viard were commissioned to produce the exquisite crystal bottles that they were marketed in. I immediately thought this was Lalique however I have been told these bottles are now attributed as Czechoslovakian bottles. It measures 3 3/4" to the top of the bottle and just shy of 5 1/2" to the top of the stopper. This is certainly a rare find in mint condition.
