This large bowl measures 10.75" in diameter and is 2" deep. It is beautifully hand painted with a branch of ripening green apples and leaves on a background that is made up of blended shades of burnt orange, purple, blue, yellow, and gray. This astounding blending of colors is the work of French factory artist, Rancon. The scalloped and raised rim of the bowl is decorated with an abundance of beautifully applied gold gilding. The bowl is double marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark 4, used after 1891, and the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. This lovely and colorful antique bowl has no chips, cracks, or restoration. Excellent condition.
