Rare sterling silver rim band on a very refined antique hand painted Limoges Plate or Charger signed by PICKARD ARTIST: CURTIS H. MARKER. This glorious composition in is hand painted with Marker's famous rose medallion design, which appears here as a central focal point surrounded by Pickard's resplendent golden Morning Glory 'AOG' Pattern (AOG is Pickard's abbreviation for All-Over-Gold) . There is a 5/8" wide glimmering shreve sterling silver rim band which rings this charger. The silver is artistically engraved with a floral and leaf design in each quadrant. This is a very rare discovery and arresting in its beauty, especially in the evening when the golden bowl glows with reflections of incandescent light or candlelight. This is an especially splendid piece when displayed near candlelight, if possible, which allows the beautifully etched gold and engraved sterling silver rim band to glow with golden candlelight reflections.

Excellent overall condition, with the exception of some minimal 'loving wear' to the gold directly next to the sterling silver band, which appears to be from the normal upkeep and polishing of the sterling silver.
