This 100 year old china painting, completely hand-painted by an early American porcelain artist, uses soft pastel pinks and greens in the tiny sweetheart roses and buds, with touches of silver lavender, powder blue and aquamarine and turquoise as punctuation against a barely green and cream center, and also within the lavish Coin Gold scrollwork framing the piece. The nearly invisible 'shadow' leaves, executed in greens and browns, are truly exceptional. The composition of this lovely vintage plate swirls in all the right places, the gold work echoing the motion of stems and buds, making this a gentle treasure that will beautifully accent any surface.
