The plate is scalloped with bumps in raised relief around the edge, and the edge is trimmed in bright gleaming gold gild. A gold transfer pattern of flowers and leafy scrolls borders the edge.
The pattern is one of huge pink roses, touched with white and soft gray. The largest rose is a little over two inches in diameter. A nosegay of roses is clustered on the left side of the plate. Circling the plate is a scattering of rose buds in different sizes, some totally closed, and some where the petals are partially opening. The pattern is a transfer, and factory decorated.
There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There isn’t any noticeable wear to the gold trim. There are a few light utensil marks.
The green underglaze mark is Haviland France. The red overglaze factory decorating mark is Haviland & Co Limoges Charles R. Edmonston Washington D.C.
