Wonderful antique 19th century French Napoleon III era papier mache wall pocket with hand painted floral decoration, chinoiserie styling and original beveled mirrored backing. This would have been a vanity brush pocket to begin with but could be filled with an arrangement of fresh or faux flowers.
Very good condition. A few small nips but no breaks or repairs. The mirror is original, beveled edges and no damage but has been re-affixed to the back with an epoxy of some sort. Not visible but worth mentioning.
Measures 10 1/8" tall, 7 7/8" wide, and the pocket is 2.5" deep. The mirror is 4" tall and 3 5/8" wide.
