From the miraculously adept grinding wheel of some early 1800s Bohemian artisan, this intaglio engraved souvenir tazza or small bonbon raised piece has fully 7 architectural renderings of noted Palaces and Chateau of the Eastern European landscape; rich and elegantly represented along with the titles and a single panel done in the monogram of the Grand Tour traveler who had it commissioned, probably between 1830-60.
This is a superb example of the ruby-flashed Bohemian glass and glass engraving (by grinding wheel, powered by foot pedals, only). The titles of the properties shown are titled directly on the glass, too.
Very fine condition, no chips, nips, rim roughness. No cracks, and no loss to the ruby glass, either. In immaculate condition, right down to the facet cut stem, the scalloped rim.
