Cup & saucer have hand painted decoration of pink rosebuds along with gold enamel trellis work. The mark dates this set from the 1890s to mid 1920s. The saucer has some feathered molding, outlined in gold. Outer foliate border of gold has 'berry' shapes with pale blue background. Cup has similar decoration, but with a soft pink background around top and bottom borders. Both pieces are trimmed with gold.
Both pieces have blue overglaze decorating mark of Lewis Straus & Sons of Limoges, France. Saucer measures 6 ¼" diameter; cup is 2 ½" high with top opening diameter of 3 ¾". Cup capacity is a little over 8 fluid ounces. Both pieces are in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs detected. Light wear to gold, mostly on rims and cup handle.
