![]() Limoges Hand Painted Bowl with Pink Roses, 1903-1917
item # 94844EE
Hand painted with pink roses, green foliage and splashes of pink, blue and yellow. The outside of the bowl is ivory with a glaze that gives a rainbow effect. The inside of the bowl is ivory and does not have the rainbow glaze.
It is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. The gold is in good condition but is showing some wear. It measures 5¾" wide by 4¼" by 2" high. The Limoges mark is that of the Paroutaud Freres Co.; the company had three locations in France, two in Limoges and one in La Seynie which is why both towns' names appear on their mark. It is stamped on the bottom with mark no 1, underglaze white ware mark in green with the initials P P with LA SEYNIE LIMOGES FRANCE which dates this to 1903-1917 as this is the time period the company was in business.
