Artist signed (Helen A. Leimer) jardiniere/cache pot, dated 1897. The D&Co. underglaze Mark in green with "FRANCE" dates this piece between 1894-1900. The piece also bears the ELITE Bawo & Dotter overglaze decorating Mark in red with "Limoges" written in script, and "FRANCE", ca. 1896-1900. The artist's signature and date are hand written in script on the bottom of the piece.
At the widest point, the jardiniere measures 9" across and is 29" in circumference. The piece is 6 1/4" in height. The top opening is 6". All measurements are approximate.
There is no chips, cracks, or crazing and the gold decoration shows no wear.
