![]() Haviland Limoges Porcelain Platter, 1888-1896
item # 242472E
This Ranson shaped oval platter was made by the Haviland Company in Limoges, France, 1888-1896, according to the H & C Mark on the back of the platter. Their finest porcelain pieces were made during that time period, and it is marked H & C/L/France in green then Pour/Wright, Kay & Co./Detroit in red.
The pink and blue floral Schleiger's Pattern #271C with the gold trim is all around the top of the platter, then on the back is just the pink floral pattern, which is quite rare. The platter has 2 built in juice wells, 1 on each side and 99% of the gold trim is intact. In very good plus condition with no chips or age cracks; it measures 1 7/8" deep, 20 1/4" long and 14" wide.
