![]() Pink Baby Roses Limoges Tea Set, Circa 1900
item # ROC36JW
The most delicate antique hand painted Haviland Limoges Floral Art Teaset including a rope handled Teapot and a Ribbon or Bow Handled Tray, circa 1900, completely hand-painted and artist signed / initialed: 'M. L." by an early American Victorian Period China Painter, or Edwardian Era porcelain artist.
The perfect romance brings these two beautiful pieces together, painted to pink perfection with embracing cascades of baby tea roses. Femininity personified, this set is painted in the softest tones of green, blue and pink, and epitomizes the genteel garden teas of the Victorian era. The Roman gold accents add just the right touch of polish to these pieces with their innocently pastel palette, paired together as a quintessential and superbly painted tea service set. Both pieces are in excellent condition with the china painting very well preserved within a lustrous glass over glaze finish. The LIMOGES TEA POT bears a William Guerin Limoges France pottery under glaze hallmark in green. The Haviland Ribbon Handled Tea Tray (or Dresser Tray) bears a HAVILAND FRANCE pottery hallmark in green.
