This is a beautiful decorative plate possibly Bavarian, circa 1800's. It has lovely painted violets and leaves on a delicate creamy white background. This piece has a gold painted border around the perimeter, enhancing the gorgeous violet color within. It measures 8-3/8" in diameter and is delicate enough to see through when held up to a light. In great condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or fractures, however, the gold trim shows a bit of wear.
