The plates are marked on the back with the standard Royal Worcester printed mark, which along with "MADE IN ENGLAND" and the star date mark, dates them to 1916.
They measure 8 1/2 inches or 22 centimeters in diameter. They have black centers that are decorated in the middle with an elaborate gilt ornamented circle of lime green and white. This design motif is repeated around the border of the plates.
None of these 12 1916 Royal Worcester porcelain plates have chips or cracks, and there are no repairs. Some of the plates have some wear to the black center. This is minor, however. There is little or no wear, however, to the ornate gilt work.
