The cup and saucer are unmarked as to maker.
The saucer is 4 ½”. The cup is 1 5/8” by 2 ½”.
The blank is unusual. The saucer has an irregular shape. The middle of the saucer is glazed white, and the shape of the glazed porcelain complements the shape of the saucer. The bright gleaming painted gold has a geometric design of linked squares. The white glaze and gold pattern corresponds to the tiny cup. Over the white porcelain are hand painted violets, in shades of purple, with yellow middles and green stems. The inside of the cup is painted in gold, along with the delicate wavy shaped handle.
There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a few tiny spots of gold wear around the edges. One small spot on the edge of the saucer appears to be an imperfection in the porcelain that was painted over in gold.
