![]() 1880s Bavaria Tea Set, Tielsch Mold
item # ROC69JW
Hand painted with an adorable pair of springtime birds, both a Momma Bird and Pappa Bird, who are patiently tending a nest full of eggs. This original heirloom china painting is about 120 years old and was china painted by an American porcelain artist in the late 19th Century. With a powder blue background of blue sky and white clouds. The tree branches bear a delicate yellow floral. All of the elegantly shaped pieces of this rare set have been lavishly embellished with Roman Gold. The teapot is a very rarely seen TIELSCH mold. It is the most rare of all the C. Tielsch & Co. pot molds, which makes this Tea Set an unusually rare assemblage of Tielsch pieces.
