The set is a fine antique pair that remain from a larger service. Raised gold 'jeweling' against that celeste or Sevres blue and entirely hand painted in floral spray with the humorous addition of a bug and butterfly. Unknown maker. We have 2 here that did not get marked apart from the artist's number.
Plates are 9 3/8" in diameter.
The set is in fine condition, with rich thick gold borders against cobalt and each has a singlularly lovely floral painting as central focus. No evidence of damage or even of use on these 2.
