Helen Moore Sewell is perhaps most well-known for her Little House on the Prairie illustrations, however she lent her talents to a large number of children's books, including twelve she wrote and illustrated. Her illustrations for The Thanksgiving Story were among those chosen as a Caldecott Honor Book in 1955.
