This is a single service tea set. It is hand-painted with yellow roses and purple pansies on a ribbon of lavender with gold. The background color is cream with a hint of lavender.
The trays are both signed. The handled tray is marked RS Germany, the serving tray has an impressed Made in Japan mark.
All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing; except on the tip of the spout on teapot which has a couple of tiny flakes of gold missing. Very slight gold wear, appropriate for age.
Measurements are: 2 handled dish is 4 ½" wide, 1" deep; large tray is 11" long, 7 ½" wide, ½" deep; teapot is 4 ½" tall, 6" from spout to handle; sugar bowl is 3" high, 4 ½" from handle to handle; creamer is 2 1/8" high, 5" from spout to handle.
