This unusual hand painted tray measures 6 ¾" long, 1 ½" wide, and stands on three feet. Perhaps it was designed to hold a fountain pen. The piece is hand painted with dainty purple asters and greenery and is trimmed with gold gilding. It is signed on the back by the artist, A. Wheeler. The tray is marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941. This great desk or dresser accessory is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.
