This is a very rare 1890s antique Bavaria teapot mold, delicately hand painted with 'White, Pink & Ruby Roses'. It is accompanied by a charming 7 7/8" Rosenthal under plate, hand painted with Pink Victorian Tea Roses and a single Pink Rosebud which has dropped to the bottom of the plate. The two make a lovely Rosenthal tea set combination, with the under plate enhancing the teapot either as a tray beneath it, or as a display piece alongside or behind the teapot.
Both of these 100 year old porcelain art heirlooms are in excellent condition.
7" tall x 7 3/4" handle to spout tip , bearing an 'RC IRIS' Rosenthal Bavaria manufacturer's hallmark in green. The teapot is signed by the artist with the initials: 'E.B'. The 8" diameter plate bears an 'RC CLAIRE' Rosenthal hallmark in green and is signed by the artist: 'E.Beals'.
