Exceptional antique French Sevres twelve piece 9 3/8" dinner plate set, beautiful pale teal or sea green base with large gilded monogram; 12 unique hand painted floral borders and all artist signed.
The monograms appear to be interlaced 'RA' with a 'W' in the center. Actually a 13 piece set, there's also a raised cake or pie plateau but has two rim chips.
Each of the twelve plates bears the same center monogram and pale green coloring but all of the borders are unique, each hand painted floral garland but with different flowers, colors, etc.
Signed on the backs, 'Boyer' painted for Sevres at the Boyer Studio on Rue de La Pais between 1845-1850. Three of the plates have other hand written inscriptions on the backs reading: 'Chrisantheme des Champs', 'Roses Pourpre et Jaune' and 'Fraisier'. No other markings.
Very good to excellent condition. Only one small blemish on the rim of one plate, not a chip and looks more like a rough spot in the gold edge. As mentioned, the set does include a matching plateau that has two rim chips.
