This is an old and beautiful double-handled plate from Reinhold Schlegelmilch, RS, Germany, c.1904-1938. Round, it has tab handles with cut-out centers on 2 sides. An art deco and beautifully detailed, sort of 'whirl' pattern of orange poppies, stems and leaves on a white ground covers the interior. The gilt perimeter border is in a 'craze' pattern with scattered leaves.
It is heavy-weight and made well.

Markings: underglaze mark on back, "RS" "Germany" with a star and wreath.
Condition: Excellent. No breaks, chips, discoloration, scratching or crazing. No colored paint loss. Some, but very minor gold loss around the perimeter.
