The front is painted with putti as musicians in a bower of clouds; the reverse has fruit and flowers, each reserved on the turquoise ground within a gilt rocaille cartouche; the mouth has foliate scrolls and flowers edging a turquoise band; the top of the rim is gilt with beads; the conforming serpentine oval base is of later date and is in a variant paste, pierced at the shoulder with four cartouches; panels of flowers are reserved on the side below.
There are spurious marks for Sevres to the vase, the porcelain is 18th century. The stand is unmarked and of later date. Decoration of both is circa 1835 and likely English. Modeled after a Sevres "Vase Hollandois". Measures: 7 1/8" (18.1 cm) High
