There is a gilt printed 'CAC" monogram, wreath and Lennox mark, impressed Lennox and OO, signed, 'H.(ANS) NOSEK, 1903-1907'.
This beautiful plate is finely painted with a bust-length portrait of a young maiden holding roses, within a gilt surround decorated with raised entwined beaded lines. The border is gilt with foliate scrolls suspending flower garlands, and gilt line rim.
Measures: 10 3/8 in (26.4 cm) diameter.

The Bohemian painter Hans Nosek is recorded as having worked for Lennox circa 1903-1907, specializing in European style cabinet plates of which the present item is a prime example.
