This is a French lamp with a robed cherub on a ribbed column base, playing a mandolin. It is set on a footed base with four ornate feet and an ornate band around the base. The cherub is very detailed.
The antique deep taupe silk dupoint shade with lighter lining is oblong with seaming and ornate trim at the bottom, as well as a pinnacle finale.
It is in excellent condition; the tiny boo boo on his knee has been repaired long ago; a tiny spot of paint has been replaced; there is a tiny paint chip on one finger, and the red undercoat is showing through on one minute spot on one curl. It works beautifully.
