Intricate silk needlework on silk depicts a pair of yellow birds frolicking in a cherry tree. Large chrysanthemum type flowers can be seen on the left in a massive spray. Certainly done in the Oriental style but origin of the embroidery is unclear. Shiny silk thread needlepoint is expertly done on a silk background. It is in the original frame.
Large size measures 26" long x 15 1/2" high.
Condition is great with just a few slight ripples in the background silk, and some typical overall very slight fading from over the years. Absolutely no rips, tears, discoloration or mothing.
