This is a stunning large round linen tablecloth with Appenzel lace, cutwork and fine hand embroidery, circa 1920-30s. This tablecloth measures 80 inches in diameter; the scalloped edges are hand embroidered; the design elements are floral with baskets of flowers and long stemmed roses in shields of Appenzel lace; the cutwork has handmade needle lace filling stitches in large scrolling designs and ribbons.
The linen is closely woven and of high quality. There are 4 pinholes and a faint wax stain; this tablecloth is otherwise in very good condition. Large round antique tablecloths like this are difficult to find.
