This is a linen and hand embroidered placemat from the 1920’s or 30’s. This mat measures 11.5 by 17 inches, the scalloped edges have hand embroidered buttonhole stitches, there is a cutwork and hand embroidered basket on 2 corners. There is a grey smudge near the edge, the piece is otherwise in excellent condition.
