Rare Handel table lamp has beautiful brightly colored tropical birds against a rich black background. The birds are surrounded by tropical flowers and foliage. Chipped ice exterior of shade gives the reverse painting a wonderful depth.
Shade is signed "Handel 7026" and artist signed "Broggi".
Shade sets atop a heavily enameled gold base with red enameled berries separating the stylized leaf design around the foot. Lamp has original amber glass prisms and matching amber glass finial. Base is signed with label on felt.
Measures: Shade 18" D; overall height is 24" T.
