This is such a unique and exceptionally charming antique hand painted Limoges Cache Pot Vase, china painted circa 1900, with an unusual dual personality... almost like having two Limoges cache pots in one! One face is delightfully hand-painted with a cheerful floral spray of Springtime Pansy Flowers, and the opposite face is china painted with an adorable pair of Blue Jays or Bluebirds, hopefully tending their nest full of turquoise eggs, amidst blossoming branches of pink wild roses. It is wonderful to be able to enjoy the options of a reversible vase such as this, which can be occasionally turned 180 degrees to reveal an entirely new face and art subject, without having to purchase a second vase. This is either a floral vase or a songbird vase, depending on your mood!
The Cache Pot and hand painting is approximately 100 years old, and has been painted by an early American porcelain artist in a beautiful range of bright, happy colors. This is a delightful vintage work of late Victorian period porcelain artistry, which is sure to become a treasured family heirloom for its new owner for many generations to come.
